Bobby G. McPeak, 81, of Fort Smith, passed from this life April 1, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born January 24, 1934 in Hazen, Arkansas to the late Shelby McPeak and Lola Mae Carson. Bobby served 21 years in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He had a long career, after the Army, with Overhead Door Company in Fort Smith and Driggers Painting in Van Buren.

He is loved and will be missed by those who survive him, his six children; Marcia McPeak of Fayetteville, Mike McPeak of Fort Smith, Sandra McPeak of Cedarville, Arkansas, Kara McPeak of Fort Smith, Sherry Christopher of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Butch McPeak of Little Rock; three sisters Evelynn Johnson of Hope, Arkansas, Virginia Matthews of Sequin, Texas and Carolyn Lee of Fort Smith; three brothers, Walter McPeak of El Camino, California, Robert McPeak of Malvern, Arkansas and Billy McPeak of Little Rock. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bobby is also preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Smith and a brother Joe McPeak.
Funeral services will be 12:00pm Monday, April 6, 2015 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery, with Military Honors. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
