James "Jim" Maxey, 73, of Van Buren, passed away March 26, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born September 16, 1941 in Fort Smith. He was retired Printer from Weldon Williams and Lick where he worked for over 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Buren and the Marvin Altman Fitness Center. He loved the lake, going on cruises, and he alway had a good joke. He was preceded in death by his parents Rayburn and Louse Maxey. and his brother Gary Maxey and his wife Virginia.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife Sarah, one daughter Theresa Frazier and husband Chad of Fort Smith and two grandsons Max and Jett Frazier of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Schoeppey, Jerry Bailey, Jeremy Bailey, Shane Maxey, Ben Maxey, Phil Hatcher, Bill Stancil, Joe Hau, Chad Frazier, Max Frazier and Jett Frazier. The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
